从两岁站上舞台开始，茱蒂迦伦就是美国好莱坞最典型的明星原型，1939年电影「绿野仙踪」那令人难忘的桃乐丝，还有许多歌舞电影中的歌声倩影，直到1950年茱蒂曾尝试自杀未果，而后则沈迷酗酒，可以看到她一路走过来的辛酸与苦楚。1969年6月27日，茱蒂因服用过量安眠药而离开人世，但她的魅力却永远活在所有人心中。
这张专辑收录了茱蒂迦伦早年的所有经典歌曲，电影「绿野仙踪」的主题曲－彩虹彼端「Over the rainbow」自然不消说，还包括首张唱片的热门歌曲「Stompin＇ At The Savoy」、电影「百老汇之歌1938」中对着克拉克盖博的照片所唱的Dear Mr. Gable:「You Made Me Love You」更获无数影迷疯狂喜爱、与舞王金凯利合作的歌舞剧经典歌曲「For Me And My Gal」、还有最佳电影「相逢圣路易」的主题曲「The Trolley Song」…等等，不仅让我们感受茱蒂的真挚歌声，更体验了美国歌舞文化的精髓。
